“The Role of Journalists During Border Conflicts” is the theme of the 22nd Cambodian Editors’ Forum, scheduled for December 19, 2025.
The Cambodian Editors’ Forum is a major annual event of the Club of Cambodian Journalists. It takes up important current issues, giving managers, editors-in-chief and leaders of all forms of media institutions an opportunity to discuss, exchange views and adopt a joint statement reflecting their will and commitment to jointly advancing journalists’ freedom during border conflict.
Discussion of this theme is intended to provide further knowledge and experience and strengthen responsibility for news content, verification and wording before conflict-related reports reach domestic and international audiences. The aim is to avoid false information, harm to national security, incitement of ethnic hatred and reporting that causes the conflict to spread.
The forum will also call on all international journalists to report first-hand and publish truthful, accurate, balanced and professionally responsible news to help reduce tensions and move towards ending the Cambodia–Thailand war.
Nearly 200 media institution managers, editors-in-chief, deputy editors-in-chief and people responsible for news publication, as well as speakers experienced in journalism, will be invited to this 22nd forum.
