Cambodian government spokesperson Pen Bona said on January 4, 2026 that the strength of broad national solidarity to defend national interests was the foremost factor that should be brought to bear at this stage.
He called for full trust in the government and national leaders, whose position on defending territory through diplomacy and international law was resolute and clear. He described this as the source of hope and the right path along which everyone should work together towards an appropriate and just solution for the nation.
