Cambodian Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen welcomed the official visit of Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani, chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Dr. Thun Vathana, second vice-president of Cambodia's Senate, greeted him at Techo International Airport on the morning of February 2, 2026. Gillani, also founding chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference (ISC), is visiting from February 2 to 5 at Hun Sen's invitation.
The programme includes an audience with King Norodom Sihamoni, bilateral talks with Hun Sen and courtesy calls on National Assembly President Khuon Sudary and Prime Minister Hun Manet.
The visit is expected to strengthen friendship, bilateral relations and parliamentary cooperation. It advances parliamentary diplomacy promoted under Hun Sen's leadership, supporting peace and sustainable development in the region and the world through dialogue and international cooperation.
