The working group promoting investment in Preah Sihanouk reviewed applications for incentives, concessions and procedural facilitation for 35 investment and business projects with total investment exceeding US$156 million.
The projects were reviewed and discussed at the working group's 23rd meeting, held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance on February 19, 2026, chaired by Prime Minister's adviser and working-group head Hean Sahib.
They include an industrial park for factories in the domestic-animal sector, furniture-processing factories, a waste-processing plant, a water-pipe factory, electric-vehicle charging stations, cooking-oil workshops, cardboard-box factories, multifunctional buildings, hotels and shopping centres. They are expected to generate thousands of additional jobs.
Hean Sahib said that over the previous two years, the working group had achieved notable results through coordination, effort and close cooperation with relevant ministries and institutions.
The main results included incentive approval in principle for 413 projects with estimated investment exceeding US$8 billion and more than 55,000 projected jobs; the resumption of construction at 76 stalled building projects; another 30 projects completed and in commercial operation; and 179 new investment projects attracted.
