Preah Sihanouk province: On the morning of February 22, 2026, Tourism Minister Huot Hak and Governor Mang Sineth, together with ministry and provincial officials, visited a freshwater dining and riverside recreation area developed by private businesses to support tourism. The minister praised and highly valued their contribution.
He said private-sector participation followed the prime minister’s “united as one” approach at both national and subnational levels.
The minister also supported private businesses’ development of new recreation facilities to welcome domestic and international visitors. The new site complements the tourism potential of beaches and islands, offering riverside ecotourism, leisure boating, water cycling and food, and further diversifying tourism in the province.
Huot Hak also praised the creative transformation of the riverside into a popular recreation destination in a freshwater woodland area, saying it could attract more visitors alongside the continuing development efforts of the government and provincial administration.
Governor Mang Sineth added that the new tourism site was in Ream commune, Kampong Som city, Preah Sihanouk province, with attractive scenery, waterways and mangrove forests, offering leisure potential for residents and visitors.
He invited residents and tourists from the province and across Cambodia to holiday in Preah Sihanouk. Its many attractions include beaches, mainland and island areas, undersea resources, waterfalls and national parks, which public and private sectors have developed and continue to develop to attract more domestic and international tourists.
