On the morning of March 9, Cambodian National Assembly First Vice President Cheam Yeap met Yoon Hu-duk, chair of the Korea–Cambodia Parliamentary Friendship Group. Representing Assembly President Khuon Sudary, he asked South Korea to review conditions surrounding fighter-aircraft sales to Thailand to help preserve regional peace and stability.

Cheam Yeap said Cambodia upheld peaceful coexistence with its neighbours while firmly opposing armed aggression. He urged careful consideration of arms sales amid the regional situation to prevent weapons from being used in potential conflicts or aggression.
The two sides praised their 55-year friendship and agreed to strengthen parliamentary diplomacy and strategic-partnership cooperation. The report also said lawmakers exchanged views and reached common ground on combating cross-border online scams and strengthening digital-security cooperation.
