Summary

Regular petrol was listed at 5,200 riel and diesel at 6,050 riel per litre until March 13; the ministry required at least one day’s notice before closure.

Fuel prices in Cambodia rose sharply for the three-day period. A Commerce Ministry notice set regular petrol at 5,200 riel per litre and diesel at 6,050 riel, valid until March 13, 2026.

Compared with March 8–10, petrol rose by 800 riel and diesel by 900 riel. Some stations and distribution depots continued closing despite Mines and Energy Minister Keo Rottanak’s statement that Cambodia had not yet experienced a national supply shortage, reserves still covered 21 days and imports continued daily.

Closed stations and depots said they had exhausted saleable stock. The Commerce Ministry warned operators against closing on their own initiative and required them to notify relevant departments and authorities at least one day before closure.
