Summary

The ministry’s March 10 statement calls Cambodia safe, stable and friendly, describes transport and anti-scam measures, and cites about 5.57 million international arrivals and US$3.7 billion in tourism revenue in 2025.

Amid recent attention to tourism safety and online scams in Cambodia, the Ministry of Tourism said in a March 10 statement that the country remained a safe, stable and friendly destination and welcomed visitors worldwide. It said political conditions were stable, social order good, and air, land and sea transport operated safely and reliably, providing a relatively safe travel environment for domestic and international tourists.

The report cited approximately 5.57 million international visitor arrivals and US$3.7 billion in tourism revenue in 2025, with the sector continuing to play an important economic role. The ministry said these results demonstrated Cambodia’s continuing appeal in the regional tourism market.

The ministry said the government, under Prime Minister Hun Manet, was cooperating more closely with relevant agencies, international partners and the private sector to combat crime, especially online scams, protect public safety and strengthen visitor confidence. It said Cambodia’s cultural heritage, natural scenery and friendly environment continued to make it an attractive Southeast Asian destination.
