Summary

Kouch Chamroeun called for fuel-price inspections and warned residents about dry-season fires and road accidents.

Kandal’s governor instructed municipal and district administrations to work with relevant specialist departments to inspect fuel sales and ensure compliance with Commerce Ministry prices. He urged residents not to keep buying fuel to store at home because it could cause accidental fires.

Governor Kouch Chamroeun and provincial council chair Nou Sakhon made the appeal while presiding over the distribution of 20,615 land ownership titles or immovable-property ownership certificates to residents of 23 villages in Tuol Prech commune, Angk Snuol district, on March 11, 2026.

The governor also asked district, village and commune authorities and all residents to remain highly alert to dry-season fires, manage candles, incense, gas stoves and electrical systems carefully at homes, fields and elsewhere, and check that electricity and fires were safely turned off or extinguished before leaving home.

He urged municipal and district authorities to continue measures to reduce road accidents throughout Kandal, particularly calling on residents to obey traffic laws and drive carefully.
