Summary

A report citing an April 10 Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology notice says Cambodia could be affected by the fourth storm during April 14–25. APSARA urges Angkor visitors and drivers to beware of thunderstorms, gusts and falling trees and avoid parking or sheltering under trees.

According to a report citing Cambodia’s Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology notice dated April 10, 2026, the country was forecast to experience some effects from the fourth storm, named “Sinlaku”, during April 14–25. Siem Reap could also be affected.

Angkor could experience storm-related rain, thunder, lightning and gusts, potentially loosening soil and making trees or branches more likely to fall at some locations.

APSARA National Authority therefore appeals to the public, Cambodian and international visitors, drivers of all vehicle types and tourist transport operators to exercise particular caution when travelling or visiting temples in Angkor, especially during the stated period. It asks them not to park vehicles or stop for shelter beneath trees, to reduce the risk of injury, property damage or potentially fatal harm. By: Pai Sokhim
