Wang Wenbin said on his official page that he was pleased to sign with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn the Cambodian-side Special Fund agreement under the 2026 Lancang–Mekong Cooperation framework.
He said China–Cambodia Lancang–Mekong projects had reached 113, spanning poverty reduction, education, health, agriculture, green development and digital transformation. He credited them with improving livelihoods and regional friendship in the spirit of “sharing the same river water and a closely linked future”.
The report says the six member countries’ joint efforts over the past decade had achieved notable results and made Lancang–Mekong Cooperation an important regional platform, described as a “golden platform” of regional cooperation.
Wang Wenbin stressed that China was ready to continue close work with Cambodia and other Mekong countries, opening a new “golden decade” of cooperation and delivering more benefits to people in all six countries.
He also welcomed more partners and friends to support and contribute to expanded Lancang–Mekong Cooperation for sustainable development, shared prosperity and a better future for the region’s people. By: សុខ ស៊ីណាន
