Commerce Ministry Secretary of State Pen Sovicheat led a ministry delegation to deliver a presentation at the Mekong-Lancang Cross-Border Economic Cooperation Forum and visit the 10th China-South Asia Expo in Kunming, China, on June 15–16, 2026.
The participation aimed to: 1. promote and expand investment opportunities among Mekong–Lancang member countries; 2. facilitate business matching between enterprises and investors from China, ASEAN and South Asia; and 3. strengthen policy dialogue on investment facilitation, transport and logistics, and regional market connections.
The secretary of state presented Cambodia’s economic potential, attractive investment environment and the Royal Government’s open policies promoting trade, investment and supply-chain connections with countries in the region.
The report said Cambodia’s active participation demonstrated the Commerce Ministry’s commitment to stronger regional economic cooperation, investment attraction and wider market opportunities for Cambodian businesses in support of sustainable and inclusive economic development.
