Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized that
in responding to an adverse global environment and numerous security challenges, and even though Cambodia was facing aggression against its territorial integrity and violations of its sovereignty by a neighbouring country, the government continued to regard public security and social safety as decisive to people’s well-being and harmony, through firm policies, focused strategies and strict instructions.
The Prime Minister added that, to address all forms of crime, both traditional and non-traditional, including drug crime, the government, with the National Authority for Combating Drugs as its coordinating body, had worked actively using all means, tactics and highly innovative measures to respond to a rapidly changing global situation. He stressed bringing together the driving forces of every sector and treating the fight against drugs as a shared responsibility of the whole nation.
