Preah Sihanouk governor Mang Sineth said the 2026 Tourism Business Forum would further strengthen links between Cambodian and Chinese tourism companies and match sellers in the province with buyers in China to develop new travel packages.
He spoke at the 2026 Tourism Business Forum and Chinese tourism familiarisation trip in Preah Sihanouk, under the theme “Promoting the Green Season Campaign: Visit Preah Sihanouk–Cambodia,” presided over by Tourism Minister Huot Hak on the morning of July 29. The governor urged the development of attractive new tourism products and the removal of language and travel barriers to improve hospitality services. He also encouraged the organisation and exchange of familiarisation trips for Chinese travel agencies so that they could experience the destination and promote it effectively.
Mang Sineth added that the provincial administration had been implementing a special investment promotion programme for Preah Sihanouk, offering incentives and support to foreign investors, particularly Chinese investors, in tourism, industry and other sectors to help address stalled buildings in the province.
The governor said he would continue strengthening tourism connections by air, water, rail and road, particularly tourism promotion that could help increase direct flights between Preah Sihanouk and Chinese cities and make travel more convenient.
On behalf of the provincial administration, Mang Sineth warmly welcomed visitors of all nationalities, particularly Chinese tourists visiting Preah Sihanouk.
The 2026 Tourism Business Forum and Chinese familiarisation trip were scheduled for two days, from July 29 to 30, to promote the Green Season campaign, attract international visitors, especially Chinese tourists, increase direct flights, draw investors and improve tourism business networks.
