(Phnom Penh) — On 29 September 2026, the Cambodia Rice Federation, represented by Oknha Dr. Lay Chhun Hour, President of the Cambodia Rice Federation, and the Cambodia Logistics Association, represented by Oknha Hak Leanghor, President of the Cambodia Logistics Association, signed a memorandum of understanding at the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank, under the presidency of His Excellency Dr. Kao Thach, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Chief Executive Officer of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank.
The purpose of the memorandum of understanding between the Cambodia Rice Federation and the Cambodia Logistics Association is to promote cooperation in understanding new procedures and regulations related to the logistics sector and the rice export sector, through joint training courses, dissemination workshops or various events, as well as jointly supporting human resource development in the logistics sector and the Cambodian rice sector, increasing potential and attracting additional investment in both sectors.
On that occasion, the President of the Cambodia Rice Federation hoped that "this memorandum of understanding will open opportunities for us to work together more on practical issues, exchange information on seasons and quantities of goods to be transported, coordinate container needs, improve packaging, and arrange transportation from rice mills to ports, listening to each other's problems, which will help us identify solutions that can be implemented."
