His Excellency Yeap Samnang, Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call and held a working meeting with Mr. Christophe Cardon de Lichtbuer, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Belgium to Cambodia, at the ministry's headquarters. This was according to a post on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 2, 2026.
On that occasion, both sides discussed further strengthening Belgium's relations with ASEAN, particularly through the ASEAN-European Union dialogue partnership, which will mark its 50th anniversary in 2027, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Belgium.
