In this regard, the Kampot Provincial Department of Public Works and Transport hereby prohibits cars of all types from traveling on the bridge under any circumstances, and the department will carry out urgent repairs to restore the horizontal road barrier pole.
It should also be noted that Rainbow Bridge spans the Kampong Bay river and was built during the French colonial era. It is currently in a state of severe deterioration, allowing only motorized tricycles, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians to cross.
