Following the slogan "Drugs destroy your future and your family's future!" authorities across the country carried out operations targeting drug offenses, netting 10 cases and detaining a total of 21 suspects on 13 October 2026.
Among the 21 suspects, they were broken down by offense type as follows: 2 trafficking cases with 6 detained, 6 transportation and storage cases with 10 detained, and 2 use cases with 5 detained. Exhibits seized included: methamphetamine (Ice) weighing 31.15 grams and heroin weighing 5,583.50 grams.
The above operations were carried out with cooperation from 7 units, including:
National Police forces (4 units) – Kampong Chhnang province cracked 1 storage case (2 detained, Ice 0.56 g); Kandal province cracked 1 trafficking case and 1 storage case (6 detained, Ice 12.99 g); Siem Reap province cracked 1 trafficking case and 1 storage case (3 detained, Ice 9.24 g and heroin 5,583.50 g); and Takeo province cracked 1 storage case (3 detained, Ice 5.48 g).
Royal Cambodian Armed Forces gendarmerie (3 units) – Kampong Speu province cracked 1 storage case (1 detained, Ice 1.93 g); Koh Kong province cracked 1 storage case (1 detained, Ice 0.95 g); and Siem Reap province cracked 2 use cases (5 detained). By: Pai Sokhim
