The Cambodian Ministry of National Defense and the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense jointly organized the "Vietnam-Cambodia Trade Connectivity and Product Exhibition 2026" event on the morning of Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. The official opening ceremony was held under the presidency of His Excellency General Tan Thana, Secretary of State at the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense, and His Excellency Rear General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Deputy Minister of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, with the aim of promoting trade connectivity and strengthening economic-defense cooperation between the two countries.
Speaking on the occasion, His Excellency Rear General Nguyen Quang Ngoc said that the exhibition is an activity in the context in which Cambodia and Vietnam are preparing to celebrate the "Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year 2027" and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which will take place on June 24, 2027. The event features photo exhibits of leaders and the ministries of national defense, as well as products from nearly 150 businesses and cultural and culinary exchanges between the peoples of the two countries.
For his part, His Excellency General Tan Thana, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defense, confirmed that the exhibition is the result of implementing the 2026 cooperation plan between the ministries of national defense of the two countries, particularly in the field of defense economic investment and mutual support. He added that the event will help deepen bilateral friendship and cooperation, and promote substantive cooperation between the governments and armed forces of the two countries. By: Sophaok
