A 16-year-old boy opened fire on Thursday at a school in Bend, Oregon, United States, killing four people, including three children and one teacher, before he was shot dead by an armed citizen.
Police said the gunman forced open a locked door to enter the school and opened fire, killing children aged 5, 8 and 11, as well as one teacher. Immediately afterward, a resident living near the school intervened, shooting and killing the teenage gunman on the spot.
