A photograph showing Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet holding the hand of Mr. Erdogan, President of Türkiye, after their bilateral meeting and joint press conference, reflects a gentle gesture and refined manners in diplomatic engagement.
During his diplomatic mission abroad, Samdech Thipadei, in his capacity as Prime Minister and Head of the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia, represented the nation and the people of Cambodia on the international stage. Alongside fulfilling his official role, this simple gesture also conveys respect, attentiveness, and gentleness in interpersonal relations.
What is noteworthy are the refined manners and respect for elders—fine and deeply rooted Khmer cultural values, nurtured from childhood and passed down from generation to generation. This small yet meaningful gesture reminds us to preserve and uphold the distinguished Khmer identity for generations to come.Article by: PENH Sopheak
