On October 28, 2026, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet met 2,044 students who earned Grade A results in the upper-secondary school examinations and the Level 3 Technical and Vocational Diploma examinations, including 22 technical-education students. The ceremony took place at the Chroy Changvar International Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCIC) to encourage students who had worked hard in their studies and inspire young people to continue developing knowledge and skills for the future.
Hun Manet said the government focuses on three major priorities in human-resource development: health, knowledge and skills, and livelihoods. He said the government’s role is to create opportunities for people to access healthcare, pursue general education or technical and vocational education and training (TVET), and make a living in a suitable environment. He also stressed the continuation of Samdech Techo’s policy of prioritising education and human-resource development, treating human development as a key factor in the country’s progress.
He emphasised that the government’s goal is to avoid double standards in public schools and instead find appropriate ways to strengthen all schools so they become high-quality, model schools. Meeting the Grade A students not only honours those with strong results but also encourages students nationwide to study hard and continue developing their abilities. By: Sopheak
