Thai forces continued firing into Cambodian territory from dawn on December 19, 2025. According to a noon report by Cambodian Defence Ministry spokesperson Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Thai forces opened automatic gunfire in the Ou Phluk Damrei area at 4:54 a.m.; at 5:41 a.m., they fired artillery from warships in the Thma Da area; and at 6:01 a.m., they shelled Prey Chan village.
The report said that at 6:54 a.m., Thai forces flew a large drone over Cambodia’s sovereign territory in Thma Da commune. At 7:42 a.m., they fired five shells into civilian homes in Banteay Mean Rith village, Kok Romet commune, Thma Puok district, Banteay Meanchey province. At 8:48 a.m., they fired toxic smoke in the Chok Chey area of Banteay Meanchey.
The spokesperson nevertheless said that, as of the report, Cambodian troops and police continued holding their positions firmly, vigorously and resolutely and fighting tenaciously against the invading enemy on all fronts, fulfilling their duty to protect Cambodia’s territorial integrity.
