According to the latest Cambodian Ministry of Commerce figures reported on December 27, bilateral trade between Cambodia and the United States reached US$11.87 billion in January–November 2025, up about 27.7% year on year. Cambodia’s exports to the US totalled US$11.5 billion, an increase of 27.1%, while imports from the US were US$367 million, up more than 50%. The US remained Cambodia’s largest export market, followed by Vietnam, China, Japan and Canada. Major exports included garments, footwear, travel goods and other manufactured products.

Analysts attributed the growth in Cambodia’s exports to the US to several factors, including product competitiveness, bilateral trade relations and preferential market-access policies. Despite uncertainty in the global economy, they said steady market demand had strongly supported Cambodian exports.

Economists said the sharp increase in imports from the US reflected stronger domestic demand and more mature industrial technology. With technology transfer and the establishment of higher-value-added production stages, they said, Cambodia was gradually moving up industrial value chains, supporting sustainable economic growth and greater competitiveness in global markets.
