Chief Warrant Officer Meas Davit, acting chief of the Andoung Snay administrative police post under Rolea B’ier district police in Kampong Chhnang, was suspended by his superiors and the case referred to specialists for further investigation. The action followed reports that he assaulted and injured civilians on February 21.
A March 4 clarification by the provincial police spokesperson said Meas Davit had been temporarily suspended and required to report to the personnel office during every working period for supervision pending a further decision. The case was referred to criminal police for continued investigation of the alleged intentional assault on civilians.
