According to a CDC press release issued on March 11, the Council for the Development of Cambodia and capital and provincial investment subcommittees approved 105 projects worth more than US$966 million in the first two months of 2026, with the potential to create about 39,000 jobs.
February registrations comprised 42 projects worth approximately US$166 million, potentially creating about 24,000 jobs. CDC registered 18 of those projects—nine outside special economic zones and nine inside them—while capital and provincial investment subcommittees registered the other 24.
February projects covered garments, footwear and bags; cartons and paper products; household furniture; camping equipment; tin processing; plywood; wood veneers; metal processing and plastic products; chemicals; Christmas trees; faucet manufacturing and assembly; and solar-panel and electrical-equipment components, among others.
The report put China’s share of investment funds in the first two months at 47.17 percent, followed by Cambodia at 22.16 percent, Malaysia at 20.68 percent, Singapore at 5.04 percent and other countries. In February alone, China accounted for 85.28 percent, Cambodia 6.10 percent, Samoa 3.35 percent, the United States 3.01 percent and Singapore 2.26 percent.
