Angkor Equinox refers to the spectacle of the sun rising in alignment with Angkor Wat’s central tower. The account presents it as a legacy of the Khmer ancestors connecting belief and science, drawing domestic and international visitors to observe and photograph the sunrise over Preah Borom Vishnulok, another name for Angkor Wat.
The viewing event has two seasons each year: the dry-season period around the spring equinox, promoted for March 21–23, and the rainy-season period around the autumn equinox, promoted for September 21–23. Written by Pai Sokhim.
