The Preah Sihanouk provincial administration held a commemoration of December 12 National Anti-Human Trafficking Day on the morning of March 24.
Provincial Council Chairman Vong Phanat and Governor Mang Sineth jointly chaired the event, themed “Working together for a society free of human trafficking and online scams.”
The event aimed to mobilise society around the government’s commitment to fighting crime, particularly prevention addressing the links between trafficking and telecommunications scams.
Provincial leaders called for closer cooperation between departments, protection of the lawful rights of citizens and foreign nationals, and preservation of Sihanoukville’s international image and public security.
