On the afternoon of March 27, Prak Sokhonn led a Cambodian Foreign Ministry team to the disputed Thmar Da border area in Pursat, showing boundary maps to diplomats and international-organisation representatives accredited to Cambodia and explaining alleged renewed Thai troop entry into the area.
The Cambodian account says that, after Thai troops installed container barriers at Sangkum Thmei village near the new casino junction on February 7, they added three more containers at the same location on the morning of March 26, together with barbed wire, strengthening control of the site.
Cambodia’s Foreign Ministry says it considers this a violation of the border ceasefire and de-escalation arrangements reached at the Third Special GBC Meeting on December 27, 2025. It expressed strong dissatisfaction, saying the actions undermined de-escalation, and reiterated its intention to seek peaceful resolution under international law and bilateral agreements.
