Cambodia’s Ministry of Interior announced that Cambodian authorities arrested Chinese national Li Xiong in connection with online scam activities and transferred him to the People’s Republic of China for further legal proceedings.
The operation followed a formal request from Chinese authorities and took place under international cooperation against online scams, a global challenge. Authorities from both countries had conducted a joint investigation for several months before the arrest.
The ministry also said his Cambodian citizenship was revoked under a Royal Decree dated March 31, 2026, as part of legal measures taken in accordance with applicable provisions. By: KPS99TV.
