At a meeting with the groups of senators for Regions 2 and 3 on March 1, 2026, Dr Thun Vathana praised the work and important achievements of both regions over the preceding period.
Highlighted achievements included coordinating adjustments to administrative boundaries in Tboung Khmum province to make public services more accessible; building homes for families in need; providing medical supplies to local hospitals; explaining laws concerning family disputes and wills; and improving the accuracy of civil registration documents.
He urged all senators to maintain close cooperation with local authorities so that residents’ concerns and requests could be addressed promptly. They should also continue actively visiting communities to monitor and support effective implementation of government policies.
He further encouraged continued efforts to mobilise assistance from donors and relevant partners to meet the pressing needs of local people who still faced shortages. Written by KPS99TV
