Cambodian authorities reportedly expelled 327 Chinese nationals, including 15 women, in cases involving online scams and unlawful residence and work.
The report said that, following instructions from the deputy prime minister and interior minister, immigration director-general Lieutenant General សុខ វាសនា directed the investigation and procedure-enforcement department to cooperate with the Chinese embassy in deporting the Chinese nationals concerned. They were sent out on a special flight through Techo International Airport.
The report described the measure as demonstrating the government’s commitment to tackling technology-enabled crime, protecting public safety and preventing online scams from continuing.
