Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said choosing domestic products instead of imports supports Khmer producers, expresses national pride and recognises the value created by Khmer labour and knowledge, while encouraging development. He made the remarks for the ninth National Day for the Promotion of Khmer Products in 2026, themed “Khmer produce, Khmer use, Khmer prosper”.
The report places the appeal against challenges including the global economic crisis and the Cambodia–Thailand border conflict. Hun Manet said these problems caused concern and called for greater vigilance. He urged continued support for Khmer products and confidence in their quality and value, stressing that consumers’ choices help build a strong economy resilient to different challenges. His message was: “We work hard to produce, we help use our products, and our nation will prosper.”
