According to the report, specialists from Cambodia’s Ministry of Environment summoned a person named ឡុង ច័ន្ទវិបុល for questioning about shooting wild birds and posting the images on Facebook. The material was shared across some social-media platforms on the afternoon of April 8, 2026.
The report said ឡុង ច័ន្ទវិបុល admitted during questioning that he had hunted birds, but said the incident occurred in February 2020. His companions had recorded and kept the images and posted them.
The ministry reportedly called for an end to circulating the material and to hunting, capturing, trapping, poisoning or otherwise harming wildlife, describing these activities as unlawful.
The report noted that wildlife hunting in Cambodia is regulated and strictly controlled by law to protect ecological balance and biodiversity.
