Summary

The attached April 10 weather notice forecasts rain over 20% of lowland and coastal areas and 15% of upland areas, warning of lightning, gusts and sea waves averaging 0.50–1.75 metres.

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology said the track of Sinlaku, the fourth storm formed in the western Pacific, would not directly affect Cambodia. It would, however, influence the northeast monsoon wind regime and bring changes to weather in Cambodia.

The report forecasts light rain, thunder, lightning and gusts in parts of the country from April 14 to 25, 2026. The forecast rain coverage is 20% of lowland areas, 15% of upland areas and 20% of coastal areas. Strong sea waves are possible, with average minimum and maximum heights of about 0.50 and 1.75 metres respectively.

The ministry urged the public to be especially cautious, particularly when travelling by road or water, and to pay close attention to possible rain, lightning and gusts during the traditional Khmer New Year. By: សុខ ស៊ីណាន.
