Ahead of the traditional Khmer New Year of the Horse, Cambodia Chamber of Commerce President and Chairman of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council for Cambodia Kith Meng assigned CCC Vice-President ឡាវ កាង to lead a CCC Foundation delegation on April 9, 2026. It brought donations contributed by the chamber family and benefactors through the foundation to troops, through Rear Admiral ម៉ី ឌីណា, Commander of Ream Naval Base.
Kith Meng conveyed greetings to the base commander, troops and their families, praising their firm defence of territorial integrity against what he described as enemy aggression.
ឡាវ កាង said the foundation was a patriotic initiative of Kith Meng to receive donations of every kind and unite Khmer people in supporting displaced civilians and Cambodian troops working to protect sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as distributing assistance to displaced families.
The charitable donations for the troops included money, food and consumer goods, and other essential supplies.
The delegation extended New Year blessings to the base commander, naval officers, non-commissioned officers and sailors at Ream, the RCAF Navy and all troops, wishing them good health and success in every duty.
Rear Admiral ម៉ី ឌីណា thanked ឡាវ កាង and the delegation for visiting, speaking with personnel and distributing gifts to families of servicemen carrying out front-line duties along the border. He said the chamber’s presence demonstrated care for the well-being of Ream personnel and their families and encouraged them.
The report described the Cambodia–Thailand border situation as requiring continued close attention because of what it called threats and aggression by the Thai military. It said Cambodian troops followed their leaders’ orders to defend territorial integrity with dignity in all circumstances.
The report also noted that many benefactors had actively supported troops and people in need in a spirit of national solidarity during difficult times. The chamber’s visit likewise brought donations from its wider membership and benefactors, channelled through the foundation, to troops at Ream Naval Base.
