The international cruise ship Piano Land, carrying nearly 1,000 tourists, docked at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port on April 12, 2026, as Cambodia prepared for its 2026 traditional Khmer New Year celebrations.
According to the Facebook page of Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth, the Bermuda-flagged Piano Land carried 996 tourists, including 557 women, representing 11 nationalities. Separately, it had 501 crew members, including 124 women, representing 13 nationalities.
The visitors received a warm welcome from local leaders and តាំង សុចិត្តគ្រឹស្នា, Director of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Department of Tourism. Khmer krama scarves embroidered with Cambodia’s national flag and the provincial administration’s logo were also given to tourists as souvenirs.
