On the afternoon of April 22, 2026, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Admiral Dong Jun, Minister of National Defence, for a courtesy call and working discussion at the Peace Palace. The Chinese ministers were visiting Cambodia on April 22–23 for activities surrounding the inaugural Cambodia-China “2+2” Strategic Dialogue.
The Chinese side thanked Cambodia for its warm welcome and conveyed greetings from China’s top leaders to Hun Manet. Wang Yi praised Cambodia’s development momentum and emphasised the strong foundation of bilateral friendship and its development towards a Cambodia-China community with a shared future in the new era.
Hun Manet welcomed the delegation and thanked China for its support for Cambodia’s socio-economic development. He reaffirmed Cambodia’s firm adherence to the one-China principle and its commitment to deepening bilateral relations across all sectors.
The sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in politics, the economy, trade, investment, defence, security, clean energy, infrastructure and agriculture, as well as expanding regional and international cooperation.
Hun Manet also briefed the Chinese side on recent developments along the Cambodia-Thailand border and reaffirmed Cambodia’s position that issues should be resolved peacefully, on the basis of international law and existing bilateral agreements. By ស៊ីណាន
