On April 22, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet met visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Defence Minister Dong Jun in Phnom Penh. Hun Manet said Cambodia welcomed investment from Chinese enterprises, was determined to combat cross-border crime, including online gambling and telecom fraud, and was willing to strengthen cooperation with China in these areas.
Wang Yi said cross-border gambling and fraud endangered people’s lives and property. He said both sides should continue to strengthen cooperation, crack down firmly on these activities and work to eradicate the problems.
