According to the original report, Svay Rieng provincial police investigated after receiving information on Facebook about three girls performing motorcycle wheelies, filming the activity and uploading the video. Police brought them in for counselling.
The report says the activity took place on May 2, 2026, at a spillway in បន្លាស្អិត village, ត្រពាំងស្តៅ commune, រមាសហែក district, Svay Rieng province.
The report says that on May 3, 2026, Colonel សំ សំអុល, the រមាសហែក district police chief, led the investigation and located the three girls under instructions from Major General ពេជ្រ វីរៈ, Svay Rieng provincial police commissioner. According to the report, the girls acknowledged during questioning that they had performed wheelies, filmed them and posted the video on Facebook.
Police counselled the three girls, required written undertakings and asked their guardians to collect them for further guidance. The motorcycle used was to be kept at the district police inspectorate for three months before being returned. The three-month period concerned the motorcycle, not a prison sentence for the girls.
