According to the report, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet had breakfast with Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone on the morning of May 8, on the sidelines of the 48th ASEAN Summit. They agreed to draw on their geographical proximity to strengthen cooperation, particularly joint action against cross-border online scams.
The leaders also discussed closer links in energy, production and supply chains, more direct flights, and measures to facilitate entry and exit. They sought to benefit people in all three countries through greater trade, logistics connectivity and travel.

The report said the three sides agreed to use the diplomatic-anniversary celebrations in 2027 as an opportunity to deepen cooperation within ASEAN and Mekong frameworks. Hun Manet said stronger ties among the three countries were intended to promote regional peace and stability. They also discussed expanding tourism offerings and people-to-people exchanges.
