According to Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn and Chinese Ambassador Wang Wenbin jointly presided over an inauguration ceremony for education and community facilities in Samraong Leu commune, Ang Snuol district, Kandal province, on the morning of May 14, 2026.
The ministry listed facilities at Romchek Primary School, Mongkol Borei Primary School and Ang Thmor Kindergarten, together with a community road equipped with solar lights. The works received assistance from the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia.
In its account of the same event published on May 15, the Chinese Embassy described the school-building component as a renovation project and reported that both officials delivered remarks at the completion ceremony.
