According to the original report, Pailin’s provincial Unified Command Committee, together with the prosecutor attached to the provincial Court of First Instance, carried out administrative inspections at five communal accommodation sites on May 15, 2026. The sites were in Sala Krao district, in a commune identified in the Chinese source as “萨登格曾”.
The original report said the operation aimed to implement the Cambodian government’s document No. 03 issued in January that year and to prevent online scams, human trafficking and other technology-related crime.
The report said enforcement personnel inspected sites including communal accommodation for foreign nationals and casinos, checking their compliance.
It also reported that the Pailin provincial administration reaffirmed the government’s commitment to combating online scams under Prime Minister Hun Manet.
The report referred to enforcement measures including sending people involved in cases to the judicial authorities and carrying out deportation procedures. It did not give findings from the five inspections, or state how many people were referred to the courts or deported as a result of this operation.
