The Cambodian Investment Board under the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) met on May 19, 2026, to review applications to register seven proposed qualified investment projects (QIPs), with combined planned investment of approximately US$450 million. The meeting was chaired by the board’s Secretary General, Chea Vuthy.
According to the CDC, the proposals were located in Kampong Speu, Stung Treng and Pursat provinces and were expected to create around 900 jobs.
Two industrial proposals covered a washing, dyeing and printing factory, and the construction of a treatment tank and boiler system. One agro-industrial proposal involved an edible-oil refinery producing rice bran, soybean, corn and olive oils.
Four infrastructure proposals concerned energy facilities: solar power stations rated at 200 megawatts, 100 megawatts and 30 megawatts, and a battery energy storage station rated at 500 megawatts.
