Summary

Authorities said six Chinese nationals were detained during a May 28 raid on the 6668 Hotel in Sen Sok district. Electronic equipment and suspected drugs were seized for further investigation.

A joint enforcement team searched the 6668 Hotel on Northbridge Road in Trung Moan village, Ou Baek K’am commune, Sen Sok district, on May 28, 2026. Authorities said six Chinese nationals were detained in connection with immigration and drug violations and suspected online fraud.
The operation was ordered by Phnom Penh Governor Khoung Sreng and Lieutenant General Chuon Narin, the municipal police chief. Deputy Prosecutor លី គីមស៊ាន coordinated the legal procedures, with the participation of Sen Sok district authorities.
Authorities said the six included one person whose visa had expired, two without passports and two using forged passports.
Officers reported seizing three laptops, 74 mobile phones, one computer monitor, suspected drugs including 14 tablets marked WY, five rounds of handgun ammunition, a Chinese police identification card, Royal Gendarmerie uniforms and other documents.
Following an examination of the electronic equipment by the Anti-Cybercrime Bureau, authorities concluded that the location was linked to the storage of equipment suspected of use in online fraud.
The suspects and evidence were handed to the relevant specialist departments for further legal procedures, while authorities continued investigating possible links to other people.
Prime Minister Hun Manet had instructed local authorities and law enforcement agencies to continue action against online scams to protect public security and Cambodia’s reputation. By: Pai Sokhim
