According to Battambang provincial authorities, police searched a villa in Battambang city suspected of being used for online fraud on May 28, 2026.
The operation was carried out by the provincial Unified Command under instructions from Governor Sok Lou, who heads the command.
Police detained six South Korean suspects at the premises. Initial inquiries indicated that they had occupied the villa since May 22 and were suspected of involvement in online fraud.
Authorities also detained a Cambodian driver accused of transporting cyber-fraud suspects between locations. The driver and the owner of the villa were being questioned.
The villa was sealed by the authorities.
