Preah Sihanouk: The Ministry of Cults and Religion held the 2025–2026 Dhamma–Vinaya certificate examinations at the ត្រី, ទោ and ឯក levels on June 7, 2026, at អូរត្រេះ monastery in sangkat 4, Sihanoukville city.
Provincial religious-affairs director កង ឌីណាត said the opening was attended by Venerable គង់ ប្រុស, bearing the title ព្រះវិមលសាគរ and holding an honorary ecclesiastical rank and the provincial chief-monk role; Venerable ឡាច ថាន់ភិរម្យ, bearing the title ព្រះញាណវិជ្ជា and leading the ministry delegation; and Deputy Governor ម៉ាក សំណាង. Monastic officials, city and district leaders, abbots, student monks and other candidates also attended.
A total of 213 student monks and other candidates registered: 124 at ត្រី level, 60 at ទោ and 29 at ឯក. They were assigned to nine examination rooms. The four subjects covered collections of Dhamma teachings, the Buddha’s life, monastic discipline and religious proverbs.
Deputy Governor ម៉ាក សំណាង said committees at every level, chief invigilators, invigilators and all monastic and other candidates needed to understand their responsibilities and strictly follow the ministry’s internal rules and examination principles to ensure a successful, high-quality, fair and transparent examination.
