On the evening of June 17, 2026, the APSARA National Authority notified national and international ministries and institutions, local authorities, departments and units, travel-agency associations, tour-guide associations, tourist-transport associations, travel companies, domestic and international visitors and the public that access traffic around the Terrace of the Elephants would close from 12:00 on June 19. The measure is intended to ensure security, safety and smooth entry and exit for senior national and international delegations attending the closing ceremony of the 39th World Girl Guide Conference that day.
The authority added that domestic and international tourists could continue entering and visiting Angkor Thom normally during the restriction, following the attached map.
All the ministries, institutions, local authorities, units, travel and guide associations, tourist-transport associations, travel companies, visitors and members of the public listed above are requested to note the information and cooperate as appropriate.
