The workshop aimed to encourage domestic raw materials and products and strengthen links among producers, suppliers and exporters to reinforce local value chains.

Commerce Ministry Secretary of State សុខ សុភ័ក្ត្រ said seven major reforms had been introduced to facilitate trade and competitiveness, including modernization of the certificate-of-origin (CO) system, national and ASEAN single windows, and Cambodia’s free-trade-agreement information platform.

He said the government was developing Preah Sihanouk into a model multi-purpose special economic zone spanning industry, logistics, tourism, agriculture and modern urban development.

The special investment-promotion programme for Preah Sihanouk continues through the end of 2027. Officials said 491 projects had been approved, with approximately US$8,424 million in investment and more than 61,300 jobs created.

អ៊ឹម សុខធី, head of the provincial investment-promotion working group secretariat, said the workshop would help enterprises understand government and ministry support for local inputs and stronger production.

He urged companies to share their production needs and current raw-material requirements so domestic suppliers and investors could identify cooperation opportunities and address challenges together, improving business development and efficiency in the province.
