Preah Sihanouk province: Specialist provincial gendarmerie officers raided a suspected technology-enabled online-scam site at three adjoining residential units in Village 3, Commune 1, Sihanoukville, at 00:05 on June 21, 2026.
The operation was directed by Brigadier General ហេង ប៊ុនទី, commander of the Preah Sihanouk provincial gendarmerie, with legal coordination by វុធ សាវី, deputy prosecutor at the provincial Court of First Instance.
Officers detained nine suspects in connection with alleged online-scam activity: eight Chinese nationals and one Myanmar national.
They also seized eight all-in-one computer sets, 12 mobile phones, passports, identity cards, work cards, bank cards and other related documents.
The nine suspects and seized items have been transferred to the specialist office of the provincial gendarmerie command for further legal procedures.
